This week, one of our attorneys assisted in securing a life-changing victory for a pro bono client who spent more than 33 years incarcerated following a first-degree murder conviction and life sentence.

After decades of maintaining his innocence, newly discovered evidence revealed that law enforcement had withheld exculpatory evidence. Through years of continued legal advocacy, an appeal, and an evidentiary hearing, the conviction was ultimately vacated.

The prosecution subsequently moved to dismiss all charges, and the court ordered his immediate release.
